Tracking normalizer

Every carrier reports tracking its own way: two-letter codes, Spanish statuses in local time, or numbers with timestamps in seconds. The normalizer turns all of it into a single story, flags stalled parcels and estimates when they will arrive.

Three formats, one story

  • Rayo Express Two-letter codes (CR, PU, TR, HB, OD, DL) and ISO timestamps with their offset.
  • Paquete Norte Spanish statuses, with or without accents, and dates like 25/10/2026 02:30 in Madrid time with no offset. On the autumn clock change 2:30 happens twice, and in spring it never happens.
  • EuroParcel Numeric statuses (20 picked up, 35 customs, 60 missed, 50 delivered), timestamps in seconds since 1970 and the location as an object.
  • What the normalizer does Sorts by time, removes duplicates, translates statuses, warns about anything odd, counts hours without movement on business days (no weekends or national holidays) and estimates arrival from each carrier’s transit time.
